大家也许还记得,前几年美国编剧大罢工,一向妙语生花的脱口秀主持人都顿时黯然,频频卡壳。
编剧的力量是无穷的。同样拥有这种魔力的幕后人物还有Ted Sorensen——肯尼迪总统的演讲稿撰写人,出品过诸如“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”(不要问国家能为你做什么,问问你能为国家做什么)等金句。
把总统演讲撰稿人与编剧相提并论,似乎对总统本人有些不敬,还好,肯尼迪总统图书馆(JFK Presidential Library and Museum)制作了上述向Ted Sorensen致敬的海报,直言“We're at a loss for words.”足见其诚意与大方。
TheJFK Presidential Library and Museumhas run a print ad and poster honoring Ted Sorensen, JFK’s speechwriter who authored “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” among other great lines. Ted died on October 31, 2010.
